Objective: Education in the field of rehabilitation is an important issue. The purpose of this research is to explain the rehabilitation education process and present an educational model.
Method: This research was conducted using a grounded theory method. The research community consisted of rehabilitation education practitioners, including professors, students, and educational administrators in rehabilitation fields. Theoretically purposive sampling was conducted until data saturation. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data, which focused on the components of education. The data from the interviews were analyzed using the Corbin-Strauss 2014 method.
Findings: The main categories resulting from the study that explain rehabilitation education include 5 main categories: (nature of rehabilitation education, rehabilitation education process, rehabilitation education methods, rehabilitation education skills, motivation of rehabilitation students), rehabilitation education facilitators include (specialized roles of educators, educational models, communication models of rehabilitation educators, monitoring and evaluation sessions, rehabilitation education tools), obstacles and shortcomings of rehabilitation education include: (defects in the content structure of education, limitations in educational facilities, ineffectiveness of rehabilitation education, outdated and traditional educational methods, defects in educational goals, cognitive and motivational deficiencies in students, and lack of ethics in rehabilitation education), main categories in suggestions for improving rehabilitation education (improvement of educational structures, tools, interpersonal relationships, monitoring and evaluation, strengthening research in education, expansion and development of rehabilitation disciplines), the central variable in this study is the nature and requirements of rehabilitation education, which is determined in the impact and interaction with other It is categories.
Conclusion: Rehabilitation education requires the application of ideology based on the nature of rehabilitation, and all layers of rehabilitation education are affected by the requirements of the nature of rehabilitation education.
