Objective Scientometrics is one of the most common methods of evaluating scientific activities. This study aimed to conduct a scientometric analysis and visualization of articles published in the Archives of Rehabilitation (AR) Journal, indexed in the Web of Science (WOS) database between 2005 and 2025
Materials & Methods This is a descriptive Scientometric study. The study population comprises all articles published in the AR journal, owned by the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (USWRS), from 2005 (journal’s inception) to 2025. The information extracted from the WOS database was saved as an Excel file. The VOSviewer software was used to visualize.
Results There were a total of 861 published documents, and the journal had an H index of 11. Most documents were in Persian (n=489), and the average citation per article was 1.57. The most collaborations in the journal were from Iranian scholars and the USWRS (n=341). The most prolific author was Seyed Ali Hosseini with 41 documents. The keyword “children” with 59 co-occurrences and 347 links was the most common keyword.
Conclusion The study shows an increasing trend in the number of articles and citations published in the AR journal from 2005 to 2025. The findings can serve as a roadmap for researchers in rehabilitation sciences and provide valuable insights for future studies. This research can be effective in the USWRS’ macro-research policies.
